Overview

Mess Hacker is a family chore application that helps children develop cleaning habits through photo-based challenges. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how it is used.

Data We Collect

• Family account information: Family name and a hashed password used for login
• User profiles: First names and hashed PINs for parent and child accounts
• Room photos: Photos taken by children during cleaning challenges, and reference photos uploaded by parents
• Challenge records: Results of cleaning challenges including pass/fail status and coin/streak counts

How Data Is Used

All data is used solely to operate the app. Room photos are compared by an AI system to evaluate cleaning challenge results. No data is sold or shared with third parties.

Data Storage

Data is stored on secured servers. Photos are stored in cloud object storage (Cloudflare R2). Passwords and PINs are never stored in plain text.

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for use by families. Parent accounts control access for child accounts. We do not collect data from children independently of their parent's account.
